Let The Twitter Games Begin Jake Owen vs. Jimmy Wayne

In this corner from Vero Beach, FL Jake Owen. Jake took his Twitter page to the next level by giving fans the opportunity to share a drink with him, meet him for dinner or win concert tickets to a performance. With his tweets coming multiple times a day, he found ways to make all his fans interact.

And in this corner from Cleveland County, NC. The man I like to call the "King of Ping" Jimmy Wayne. Jimmy doesn't go anywhere with out his cell phone in close reach. Hence the picture attached. Jimmy stopped his show at the Country Music Hall of Fame during the CMA Fest to take a couple pictures of the crowd to send to his Twitter page. Jimmy keeps his fans entertained throughout the day with many, many, MANY posts and pictures. It could be his morning cup of coffee, his infamouse pool pose, or a goodnight kiss all curled up in bed. Either way you know that your going to get a chuckle when you open his Twitpic.

Today was the first day Jake has made more than one post. Lately we had only received one every other day since May. Does this mean that he is going to get back in the swing of things? Does Jimmy have some stiff competition now in the Twitter department? Who do you think will out tweet each other? Who ever comes out on top you know that your phones will be chiming away when they make their Tweets. May the best man win

Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets fans got an extra treat when Keith Anderson sang the National Anthem at at the June 29th,2009 game. The game was aired by ESPN. Keith must of felt right at home being back on the field. While in college Keith's baseball talent caught the attention of scouts from the Kansas City Royal. Unfortunatly a shoulder injury quickly put an end to a possible career with MLB, but Anderson stayed focused on his commitment to fitness, even coming in second in the Mr. Oklahoma bodybuilding competition.

KingBilly Visits The "Chicken Coop" While In Iraq

One of the bases KingBilly toured during their USO Tour was called JSS Mushada or The "Chicken Coop." This is because it was literally a chicken house that is rented from a farmer for us to create an army base inside of and around. This just goes to show that all the "chicks" flock to Donny. KingBilly played in the same area they had their beds, a kitchen, and computer stations. Everything else they did was outside the coop. It was the smallest base they visited by far. but definitely one of the most fun!!

Tim McGraw To Release New Album This Fall

This fall, Curb Records will release Southern Voice, Tim McGraw’s first studio album in two and a half years. Recorded in Nashville with his longtime producer, Byron Gallimore, Southern Voice is the follow-up to Let It Go, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in April of 2007. McGraw will support his new album with an extensive tour in 2010.

The lead single “It’s A Business Doing Pleasure With You” goes to radio today. Written by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and singer-songwriter Brett James (who has penned numerous hits, including “Jesus, Take the Wheel” for Carrie Underwood), “It’s A Business Doing Pleasure With You” is an uptempo, tongue-in-cheek tale about the price of love.

Josh Turner Welcomes New Bundle Of Joy

MCA recording artist Josh Turner and his wife Jennifer welcomed their second son, Colby Lynch Turner, to the family on Friday, June 26. The Turner's are also parents to two-year-old Hampton.

"I'm just a proud daddy right now," said Turner. "Jennifer gave birth to another healthy baby boy. Hampton loves being a big brother and we're just one big happy family."
Turner has spent the last several weeks in the studio recording his fourth album. "My producer, Frank Rogers, jokingly told Jennifer that she needed to wait until we finished my record before she had the baby," recalls Turner. "We finished the album last Thursday at 6:00pm. After I got home, Jennifer went into labor and we were at the hospital by 10:30pm that night. Now that's what I call perfect timing."

MCA expects to release Turner's album this fall.

Results Are In

Last week after the CMT Awards I was left feeling rather disappointed. Even though they had a great line-up and personally thought the sound quality was terrible. So I took to the blog to find out what our readers thought of the show. The results are in, and the readers have spoken. Looks majority ruled that If I Hear Taylor Swift One More Time I Will Scream.

Very Pleased With The Show Cant Wait For Next Year 13%
Show Was Okay Could Of Been Better 10%
Pleased With The Show, But Needed Some Tweeks 6%
I Cant Believe I Wasted My Time 16%
If I Hear Taylor Swift One More Time I Will Scream 52%

Sorry Taylor!

We now have a new poll up for this week. We want to know who you think is the most over looked artist/group during the Award shows, and we will see next week what you think.

Acts Already Announced For 2010 Country USA Festival

Toby Keith and Jason Aldean will perform at the Country USA Festival in Oshkosh, Wis., in 2010, according to event promoter Dan Liebhauser. The 2009 event concluded on Sunday (June 28) with performances by Jamey Johnson, Lady Antebellum, James Otto and Gretchen Wilson. According to the Oshkosh Northwestern, the festival may break its attendance record of 172,000 set in 2007, thanks in part to Taylor Swift's appearance there on Wednesday (June 24) to an audience of about 44,000. If you have ever been to one of these Festivals, than you know that traffic is a nightmare. On Wednesday night after Taylor's performance one of her tour buses jackknifed on one of the roads that was an exit for the festival grounds. Which made it nearly impossible for the 8000+ cars to leave.

Kellie Pickler On Turning 23

Kellie Pickler posted a "birthday" blog on her MySpace today. You gotta love a girl who can keep it real and can let you know when she likes something and when she doesn't. Kellie I have to tell say that the Starbucks Venti Iced Carmel Macchiato is my personal fav too and I am still pissed about the Secret deodorant thing too!

Hope y'all enjoy!
23 today!

I'm sitting on the bus sipping on my 2nd Starbucks Venti Iced Carmel Macchiato reflecting on the past year...there are so many things that come to mind. Isn't it kind of crazy how much can happy in only a years time?!

I feel like I know myself better but I'm still learning. I found some closure in my life but still need more. I've built some bridges, torn some down. laughed. cried. made someone else laugh. made someone else cry. tried counting stars. still mourn the lose of my grandma Faye, sometimes I see her smile when I look in the eyes of Carolyn Holt (my"adopted mama") grew closer to my sister Courtney & my brother Eric. Hugged my Dad. forgave. read some incredible books. reading a good one now. only had to change my number once. became a vegetarian. did another USO tour. got another tattoo. prayed for myself & for others. heard some great songs. heard some bad ones. wrote some good songs. wrote some bad ones. made some friends. lost some friends. still have my best friend (Summer). got pissed off cause they discontinued my favorite deodorant...(note to self:contact Secret Deodorant). sang 9 to 5 with Dolly. talked my way out of a ticket. seen love. touched love. gained love. lost love. wished I could touch a rainbow. had my feelings hurt. hurt someone else's. got addicted to twitter...twitter.com/therealpickler

found out John Cusack and I were both born on June 28th, sorry I had to brag, big fan. saw Reese Witherspoon at the CMA's, still mad at myself for not asking for a picture...love her. told Ellen that I wanted to lick Clint Eastwood's face. I still want too. still trying to figure out how I am going to meet him. bought some shoes, imagine that. got drunk. hugged a toilet. got a paper cut. cussed. asked for forgiveness. been happy. been depressed. still trying to let my hair grow out, probably get it cut soon. seen some great movies. seen some bad ones. made fans & probably lost fans. talked to God. got kissed. gave a kiss. ate a hershey kiss...ok, a lot of hershey kisses. ran my bike into a tree. ouch. sat under an umbrella on the beach. saw God when I saw the ocean. slid down a water slide. gotta big wedgie. heard some stupid sh*t. said some stupid sh*t. I know some of you are mad because I said sh*t. asked for forgiveness, again. helped someone. had someone help me. almost got in a fight cause someone tried to steal my shoes. seen Spongebob Square pants enough to last a lifetime. thanks Eric. done so many concerts that I've lost count. doing another one tonight, not complaining. fell in love with the road. I still think Aimee Mayo and I are long lost sisters. learning to have patience. still pissed about the deodorant. saw a tornado. almost pissed my pants. bought some killer sunglasses. lost them. got mad. got over it. bought some more. stepped in a lot of dog poop (arn't you proud I didn't say sh*t.) oops...sorry, I said it again. Moomoo (my dog) is finally house (bus) trained. thanked the Lord. took a lot of pictures. read somewhere that I had a face lift. so not true. I was only 22. ask me again when I'm 60. maybe my answer will be different. maybe it won't. sent a lot of flowers. been given a lot of flowers. asked for mercy for myself and mercy for others. went snorkeling for the first time, it was incredible. swam right over an eel, it was incredibly scary.

I could go on and on for days as you know but I have to get ready for another show. Speaking of shows...thank you so much to everyone who has come to a show, bought a CD, or just turned my song up on the radio. I love you.

Tampa police said Mays was found unresponsive by his wife Sunday morning, and was pronounced dead at 7:45 am. While the cause of death is still unclear, Mays' wife, Deborah Mays, told investigators that her husband had complained he didn't feel well before he went to bed some time after 10 p.m. Saturday night, Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said. What Julianne Did To Snag Chuck

Chuck Wicks opened up to OK! Magazine about what made him fall hard for singer/dancer Julianne Hough.

Turns out it wasn't the hard core dancing or glitzy costumes of Dancing with the Stars that caught his eye. "When a girl dresses up, they put a bunch of makeup on and look beautiful, but it's false. Simple is beautiful. There's nothing to hide." Wicks tells the magazine.

Hough's sweet persona didn't just win over country radio and television audiences, it won over her man as well. "She does everything with a smile. I can't deal with someone who is always in a bad mood, who is stuck-up and mean."

So what sealed the deal? A smile and...a growl? "Girls with dogs are the way to go. If they can love a dog, they can baby something, and that's what guys want. They want to be taken care of and babied all the time."

Little Big Town Raises $52,000 For Cancer and AIDS Research

Members of Little Big Town hosted their third “Ride For A Cure” on Sunday, June 14, to benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation. This year’s event was a huge success and raised $52,000 for cancer research at the Frances Williams Preston Laboratories at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. The T.J. Martell Foundation supports leukemia, cancer and AIDS research at six top hospitals in the United States.

“We have seen this event double in size every year and we are so grateful for all the artists and fans support. We want to see a cure and we believe TJ Martell has the means and the resources to make that happen in our lifetime. I had the chance to talk to a guy who was riding his brother’s bike on Sunday. His brother had passed from cancer two years prior and he was there to ride in his honor. That’s the kind of story that fuels this event,” states band member Karen Fairchild.

Joe Nichols Performs at Star Studded Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards

Joe Nichols joined such megastars as Jon Bon Jovi, Rob Thomas, Andy Williams, Crosby, Stills and Nash, James Taylor, Sir Tom Jones and dozens more at last week's 40th Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards in New York. Nichols, who is Broadway bound when the production of Pure Country opens in January, 2010, was asked to perform at the prestigious New York event. Nichols sang the Rodgers and Hammerstein composition "If I Loved You," from the musical Carousel to honor Maxyne Lang. Lang had earlier in the evening been presented the Abe Olman Publisher Award. She is president of the highly successful independent publishing company Williamson Music and Williamson Music International, the global publishing divisions of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization.

"Getting to perform such a classic song from the catalogue of one of the most successful writing partnerships in music history was a true honor for me," Nichols said. "This is the sort of event that had me in awe-- the room was filled with some of the most talented songwriters and performers in existence. To hear Andy Williams sing 'Moon River' was a moment I will never forget."
Nichols has just finished work on his own new music, the follow-up CD to his critically acclaimed 2007 Universal Records South release Real Things. The lead single, "Believers," is already a Top 30 hit, and still climbing.

Kenny Chesney Helps Fix Venue Issue's

You know you're a stratospheric star when acoustics in a stadium are fixed just for you. Officials plan to spend about $200,000 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to help improve the sound quality for an upcoming Kenny Chesney concert. Sound problems marred Chesney's show there last year. It's the only concert that's been put on at that site since it opened last summer. Echoes are a big problem at the stadium because there's been nothing to absorb the sound and stop it from bouncing around. So, the Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority will hang large draperies over the concrete sections of the stadium. At the same time, Chesney's tour has spent $500,000 to upgrade its sound, with 25 percent more speakers for the Indianapolis concert on Sept. 19.

Montgomery Gentry Inducted Into Grand Ole Opry

Last night Montgomery Gentry became the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry. Eddie and Troy admitted to The Boot to butterflies and dreams being made:

“I couldn’t sleep last night, and I’ve had butterflies all day,” Eddie told The Boot. “It’s an unbelievable honor. If we’re dreaming, don’t pinch us and wake us up!”

“Eddie and I both dreamed of being part of the Opry when we came to town in 1997,” Troy added. “Once we landed our [record] deal, it became our goal to be Opry members. We love being part of the Opry, coming out and playing every chance we get.”

Eddie and Troy were inducted by Marty Stuart and Little Jimmy Dickens, who introduced the duo by saying, “I know these men on and off stage, and I find them to be gentlemen in every respect. I welcome them to our family of entertainers.”

After singing ‘Hillbilly Shoes’ and several other songs spanning their ten-year career, Montgomery Gentry received a standing ovation from the Opry audience, as both men wiped away tears.

Eddie was especially emotional throughout the evening. His father was a musician and had often admonished him, “You haven’t made it in country music if you haven’t played the Opry.” Had he been alive to be at the telecast, Eddie says he probably would have had words of wisdom for him. “Probably the first thing he’d say is, ‘Now don’t get out there and mess this up.’ I think he’d be patting me on back and say, ‘Go out there and get it. Now you’ve done something!’”

After their induction, Eddie raised his new member award in honor of his father, saying, “Dad, we made it!”

Congrats to Montgomery Gentry! I bet it was an amazing show last night.

The pictures surfaced via Miley's Twitpic's and were also posted on Shankman's yFrog page. Jack Ingram Fans Have To Be Patient A Little Longer

Jack Ingram fans are going to have to be patient just a little bit longer for his "Big Dreams and High Hopes" since he decided it just wasn't good enough, so he is returning to the studio to put more of a rock edge on a couple songs. Jack recently sat down with GAC to explain his decision:

"This is the document of where I'm at as a person and as an artist. If this is the last record I'm ever going to make -- which, until I make another one, this is the last record I'm going to make, just like they say, live everyday like it's your last. It's the same thing with making records, and so I knew that I wasn't finished. In my heart and in my soul I had to go [back in the studio]. Sorry. I know it's going to cost a little more money and take a little more time, but I got to make it right or else it's not worth it for me."

Lady A Learns From Chesney

Lady Antebellum is playing to large arenas and stadiums this summer as an opening act on Kenny Chesney’s Sun City Carnival Tour. They’re not just watching him on stage; they’re also evaluating the way he runs his business, including the way he interacts with both his customers and his employees.

"He’s unbelievable," the band told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville.

"There’s definitely a reason he wins Entertainer [awards] almost every year. The way that he can connect with somebody in the very back of the stadium, you know, on the top level — us trying to learn that has been the biggest part of the tour, and we’re watching him every night and Miranda [Lambert], too. He also treats everybody so well, and that’s another thing that we’ll take away from this. I heard that the length of time his employees stay on is something like 10 years. That’s the average of how long all these people have been with him. I mean, he’s so loyal to his employees and treats them so well and that goes a long way."

Lady A is on the road with Kenny this week in Wantagh, N.Y.; Virginia Beach; and Philadelphia, where Saturday’s stadium date adds Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry to the usual lineup. On Sunday, the trio breaks away from the Sun City crew to play the Country USA festival in Oshkosh, Wis. where Gretchen Wilson, James Otto and Jamey Johnson will also perform.

Under terms of the joint venture, GAC will promote Turner’s music and music videos on its television and radio programs, while Original Signal will spearhead the marketing and distribution efforts.

Turner’s traditional heritage and blue-collar roots made him a fan favorite as runner-up on 2008’s The Next GAC Star. The storytelling and simplicity-of-life found in classic country songs always resonated with Lane, who counts Conway Twitty and Waylon Jennings as influences. I had the priviledge of meeting Lane this year at the CMA Fest, during the GAC Kickoff Breakfast, and he was AMAZING

iTunes will distribute 50,000 free download cards featuring Turner’s lead single “Where’s a Sunset” at two country music festival events this summer.

As Us Weekly first reported, Simpson will headline the docu-series, The Price of Beauty, which will follow the singer, 28, as she travels around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why, VH1 announced Monday. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful," she continued. "I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I'm sure will be a wild ride."

When Luke Bryan is in his home state of Georgia, one of his favorite places to play was at the Georgia Theatre in Athens. Early this morning the landmark was destroyed in a fire. Four fire engines, three ladder trucks, two rescue vehicles, a HAZMAT unit and about 50 firefighters responded to the 6:50 a.m. fire call, according to Chuck Gulley, emergency management coordinator for the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department.

Gulley said the fire was under control by 8 a.m. By then, the famous theatre at the corner of Lumpkin and Clayton streets in downtown Athens was totally gutted. Fire officials could not say how the fire started. There had been numerous lightning strikes in the area overnight. “It may be a while before we know,” Gulley said. Eleven acts were scheduled to appear in the theater as part of the annual AthFest music festival next weekend. Festival organizers were looking for alternative venues Friday but hoped to find a place for the bands to play. The Morton Theater and the Classic Center were among venues being considered.

“There are soldiers in Iraq who heard about this today,” said J.R. Green, a former Athens club owner who works as a disc jockey now. “That gives you an idea of how notable that place is. It’s an institution.” “It’s emotional on a lot of levels,” said Winfield Smith, the Georgia Theater’s bar manager the past five years who also played there as a musician. “It’s a place a business, a historical landmark, a pillar of the Athens music scene. And it looks like I’m out of a job. “The best news is nobody was in the building,” Smith said.
But a lot of somebodies have been.

Highlight of CMT Awards: Jason and Keith

From all the comments that are being left about the 2009 CMT Awards I am glad to hear that I was not the only one not impressed with the show. Did You Miss Taylor Rapping?

What did you think of the opening and the show we would love to hear your comments. We had mixed feeling here. Thought the line up was great, but the sound was not the best. CMA Fest Numbers Are Up

Average daily attendance at the four-day event was 56,000, up from 52,000 a year ago. CMA credits the addition of free shows, a regional advertising push and the value of the nightly shows at LP Field as reasons for the increase. Anxious To See Taylor's Opener During CMT Awards

Show staffers and crew have been sworn to secrecy about the opening segment, but country and pop queen Taylor Swift and host Bill Engvall were in plain sight Monday shooting a portion of it at the Sommet Center, the site of tonight's 2009 CMT Music Awards.

"I can see how you think that," Swift said repeatedly to Engvall in the scripted dialogue. "But that's my next dream, you know. I want to be in the NFL."

On Sunday backstage at the CMA Music Festival, Swift also confirmed reports that rapper T-Pain would play some part in her appearance on tonight's show.

"Well, the T-Pain thing, it's not really specified what that collaboration is yet," she said. "It's been really fun to keep that a secret, because we've never confirmed if it's a performance or if it's something else. You never know. You know, you should watch it."

The 2009 CMT Music Awards red carpet coverage begins tonight at 6 on CMT. The show begins at 7 p.m. Show performers include Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Def Leppard. Presenters include Kerry Collins, Alison Krauss, Karolina Kurkova, Melissa Peterman, Randy Jackson, Bill O’Reilly, Luke Wilson, Kid Rock, Ted Nugent and T-Pain.

Last Wednesday night roughly 1,400 friends and fans packed into the Cadillac Ranch on Lower Broadway, in Nashville to help celebrate Alan Jackson's 20 years in the industry. Among those in the audience were Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn and Mayor Karl Dean.

Mayor Dean proclaimed the evening a perfect start to the CMA Music Festival, while Brooks credited Jackson for the creation of Brooks & Dunn.

"Alan is responsible for Ronnie and I getting together," Brooks said. "We were both wanting a solo deal, and (Arista Records chief) Tim DuBois said, 'If you want to be a duo, I'll give you a deal, but we've already got a boy solo singer.'"

Jackson sang a 35 song set that started with his first success "Here In The Real World", and continued with hit after hit including "Livin' On Love," "Good Time," "When Somebody Loves You," "Don't Rock The Jukebox," "Remember When," "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)," and others with the last song of the night being "Chattahoochie".

Jack Ingram Goes To ER During CMA Fest

Jack Ingram, Trent Willmon, and Jason Meadows all took part in the first annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink CBR All- Star Challenge in Nashville last week, during the CMA Fest. The event was a charity dedicated to help fight breast cancer. So who would of thought that it would end up with a trip to the emergency room by Jack Ingram. Three seconds after Jack mounted his steer he was thrown on the ground, with the wind knocked out of him. He was taken to the emergency to rule out any serious injuries, broken bones etc. Jack told Hazel from CMT, "I feel like I've been in a car wreck. That's my first and last time on a bull." He added, "This job is hazardous enough without adding serious bodily harm."

On a lighter note the charity raised $20,000. Even though Jake was not the only one thrown that day off their steer, Trent Willmon (who also fell) won the celebrity portion of the steer ride.

The Show Must Go On

After being evacuated out of LP Field last night due to severe weather, the show did in fact go on. You NEVER know what what kind of surprises you will get during the CMA Fest, and this was one I did not expect.

The show kicked off with Brooks & Dunn, who performed their entire set. Next up was Reba and she got 2 songs in before Storme Warren from GAC had to tell everyone to seek shelter due to severe weather coming our way around 9:30CT. After sitting around, and sitting around, and growing more tired by the minute we decided just to call it a night. Around 12:30AM (Central Time) I received a Tweet that the show was going to continue. Jimmy Wayne, Julianne Hough, and Rascal Flatts did not perform. The show went strong until 2AM (Central Time)with performances by Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley.

To all those fans who stuck out the rain delay kudos to you! Would love to hear your reviews from Darius, Dierks, and Brad. Lets all keep our fingers crossed tonight that it doesn't happen again. Tonight's line-up includes Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Rodney Atkins, Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean and Kid Rock.

Tuesday Night Was The Night To Be At The Opry

Tuesday night I took in the Grand Ole Opry here in Nashville to see Trace Adkins, Little Big Town, and Carrie Underwood. The minute you walk into the Grand Ole Opry there was this feeling that comes over you, just knowing that all walks of legends have performed there. It is just amazing.

The show started at 9:30pm with Little Jimmy Dickens, The Charlie Daniels Band, Ricky Skaggs, Connie Smith, and Bill Anderson. It was amazing to see such icons performing especially Little Jimmy Dickens.

Trace Adkins then took the stage. He sang three songs and chatted with the crowd. Wish he could of performed a little longer he has such a great voice, he also wore a nice tight pair of pants ladies.

Little Big Town was next up to perform 3 of their songs, they got right out there with the crowd shaking hands with fans and rocking the house. They sounded terrific with their harmony's.

Last but not least, Entertainer of the Year Carrie Underwood took the stage looking as beautiful as ever. Singing hits like "Last Name" and "I Told You So". I know I was was hoping that Randy Travis would come out on stage, but she told us that he was not hiding out back. Even without Randy Travis Carrie put on an excellent show. To short in my opinion, but we knew she wouldn't play very long.

All in all it was a great experience and a wonderful show by all performers old and young.

And The Thunder Rolls...

Earlier this afternoon heavy rain and severe thunderstorms forced evacuations at Nashville's Riverfront Park. Fans were ordered to evacuate until the weather cleared. Concert activities were set to begin at 10 a.m., luckily the weather did clear and the show was only slightly delayed, it resumed at 11 a.m. I only wish that I could report that that was the last time the thunder rolled in Nashville tonight. This evening Brooks & Dunn, Reba, Jimmy Wayne, Julianne Hough, Dierks Bently, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, and Brad Pasley were set to play at L.P. Field. Brooks & Dunn made it through their entire set and Reba made it through two songs when Storme Warren came out holding a poncho and announced to the crowd that they had to evacuate the stadium due to severe weather. The last we were advised is that the weather report will be looked at again in one hour and a determination at that time will be made as to if the show will go on. As we gain further information we will keep you updated. Stay tuned to GotCountry?

David Nail Officially Off The Market

The hot new sensation to country music David Nail, whose new single "Red Light" is all over country radio plans to marry his fiancée Catherine Werne at an undisclosed Middle Tennessee location tomorrow. David jokingly says he wont reveal the exact location because he doesn't want people to "show up and expect free booze." He traveled to Catherine's hometown of Memphis to secretly as her parents permission. Later that night, during a walk, Nail stopped in a park and told Werne, "A lot of people say I was born to do this or I was born to do that, but I was born to be a husband and born to be a father," and then asked her to join him on that journey. Then David got down on one knee and proposed. The first thing Werne did was squeal "No," but Nail likes to think it was because she didn't believe the situation. "Then she screamed 'Yes' and jumped into my arms," he said. "Then we spent the next five hours calling people.". How romantic. Congratulations David and Catherine we wish you many happy years together

LeAnn Rimes Tells Her Thoughts On Being A "Stalker"

After Eddie Cibrian's wife decided to call LeAnn Rimes a "Stalker", LeAnn has some things to say about it all to People magazine

“You know what, I’m a classy woman, I’m never ever going to battle anything out in the press, I have respect for everyone that is involved and everyone’s family, including my own. I would never want to hurt my husband or anyone else with more lies dragged out in the press.”

You would think LeAnn would have had a little more to say about all this stalker accusations (I know I would), but when People magazine asked her about it, she sighed and said, “It is what it is.” She explains that she can’t control what other people say, she can only control what she says. And… it’s obvious she want’s to remain above all the stalker drama.

“I refuse to get down on anyone else’s level and im going to take the high road on everything.”

Lorrie Morgan Wants Little Jimmy Dickens In A Speedo

Lorrie Morgan plans to celebrate a career milestone with her performance at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday (June 9) — 25 years as a member of the hallowed organization. Morgan says she has no special plans for how to mark the anniversary, but she says she'll probably "wing it like I always do and just hope that somebody's there with a camera and can get me some memories captured." She also thinks a cake might be nice — but not just any cake.

"Maybe somebody will pop out of (the cake)," she says. "Let me think, who would I like to pop out of my cake? It would be somebody who is a member of the Opry. I know, Little Jimmy Dickens in a rhinestone Speedo and his hat."

If that should happen, dont worry I will at the show that night, and will definantly be reporting back all the excitment.

This Is Why WE Love Keith Urban

Keith Urban is not afraid to take his show INTO the crowd.

“Our goal every night is to play with the crowd, not at them.” Said Urban. “We designed the stage to make that possible. The truth is, that I don’t even know when I’ll leave the stage to go into the stands, but that’s what makes it so much fun, you never know what is going to happen. I’m having a lot of fun on this tour,” added Urban. “Its like the greatest toy box I’ve every played in.”

Nobody said that when you jump into a crowd of thousands of crazy fans, it would be easy. He has almost had a shirt ripped off his body, lost a guitar, and almost fallen. Check out what you might be in store for it you catch Keith's Escape Together World Tour this year.
