Justin Moore Mourns The Death Of Two Close Family Members
Labels: Justin Moore.jpg)
Justin Moore’s recent concert at The Hat Factory in Richmond, Virginia, had emotions running high. When Justin played “Grandpa,” a loving tribute to his ailing grandfather. He told the crowd that it has been getting harder and harder to perform the song live because his grandfather is hospitalized battling cancer.
Justin’s grandpa, Tom Moore, passed away soon after the Richmond concert, the day before Thanksgiving. You can watch Justin perform “Grandpa” here. To make a difficult time even harder, Justin also lost his Aunt Glenda this week, a woman he thought of as a “second mom,” he told fans on Twitter.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Justin and his family during this difficult time.

Little Texas Performs A Surprise Show In A Unlikely Venue
Labels: Little Texas
What do you do when your high school marching band is out of town and your football team is hosting a regional playoff game? Well, if you're in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood , Tennessee, you have country rockers Little Texas fill in as your pep band.
That's what happened last Friday night, November 6th, as the hometown Brentwood Bruins hosted the Rossview Hawks in their regional playoff.
Just two days before the official end of their 20th Anniversary year, the morning of Nov. 6th brought a flurry of activity to the members of Little Texas, who had originally thought they would be enjoying a rare Friday off at home.
While perusing the local Brentwood news, Little Texas guitarist/vocalist Dwayne O'Brien read an article that said Brentwood's award-winning marching band would be out of town at an elite competition that was unfortunately conflicted with the football game. "I couldn't imagine a high school football game - much less a home playoff game - without some kind of a band," O'Brien said, "so I wanted to see if there was anything that I could do."
The civic-minded O'Brien was prompted into action and contacted Brentwood principal Kevin Keidel, who quickly gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to the idea. "It was such a crazy notion and so last minute that I had no idea if we could pull it off," O'Brien said. "I didn't even know if the other guys were available or not." But a few phone calls later, fellow members Duane Propes, Porter Howell, and Del Gray were on board for the game, and local volunteers quickly pieced together a sound system for the event.
The band, clad in blue Brentwood Bruin jerseys, brought out the team with Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" and proceeded to crank out classic rock and roll between plays, taking requests from the student body. An all electric guitar version of the school's fight song rocked the stadium after every touchdown. They also performed a mini concert at halftime which included their hits "Kick a Little," and "God Blessed Texas," which was changed to "God Blessed Brentwood" to the cheers of the home grandstands. "We just wanted to make as much noise as we could to keep the spirit up during the game," O'Brien said. "The cheerleaders did a great job, the crowd was into it, and the team was on fire. It was a great night." Brentwood won 35 to 7.
Little Texas will continue their local stadium performance series when they sing the National Anthem at Vanderbilt Stadium as the Commodores host Kentucky on Saturday, November 14th.

Jake Owen Remembers 8 Hour Rides
Labels: Jake Owen
It takes a good eight hours to drive from Nashville to the Florida Panhandle, but Jake Owen used to make that trip regularly when things were tough during his early days in Music City. He needed to play some shows to pay the bills, and he wasn’t making much headway in country music’s capital.
It was a lonely time in Tennessee, but Jake is now experiencing a huge amount of popularity; in fact, his current single “Eight Second Ride” brought him into country’s Top 15 this week. The difference is stark.
“I remember the days when I left Tallahassee and moved up here to Nashville, and I didn’t know anybody,” Jake says. “I didn’t know one person. I just moved here with the intentions of meetin’ people, getting a record deal, and touring around the country. And spent a lot of time on my own, by myself, in my little apartment, and workin’ at a golf course as a caddy to earn some extra money, and having to drive all the way to Tallahassee to play a gig, eight hours away, to earn some money. And now, I catch myself sometimes goin’, ‘Man, do we really have four shows and five shows in a row this week?’ And then I’m like, ‘Wait a second! That’s awesome!’ You have to appreciate it. You know, I really do.”
With the holiday season upon us, Jake’s tour schedule is slowing down a bit, giving him some time to do some Christmas shopping and to rest up from some of those five-cities-in-five-nights runs. His next three-day stretch of shows comes next week when he plays Grand Rapids on Dec. 3; Chicago on Dec. 4; and Columbia, Mo., on Dec. 5.

Keith Talks Sunday Rose and Possible Duet With Nicole
Labels: Keith Urban
We all know how musical talented Keith Urban is, and Nichole Kidman has shown that she can carry a tune also. So will their daughter Sunday Rose follow in their footsteps?
"She sounds quite musical," Keith told PEOPLE at the American Music Awards. "I sit her at the piano every morning. We play. We mash the keys together. So hopefully she'll have a little bit of that."
With his beautiful wife in the audience, Urban took home the Favorite Country Male Artist award, which he dedicated "to my wife, I just love you so much, baby girl." And though the couple have no immediate plans to collaborate on anything other than raising their family, Urban hinted a duet could eventually happen.
"We sort of do our own things professionally, but I love singing with her at home," he says. "I don't think anythings ever out of the question."
I see another Tim and Faith in the future!

“Feeding America gives to so many across this country,” says Vassar. “I’ve always been a big supporter of theirs because I believe in their mission, their purpose and their amazing results; their network supports approximately 63,000 local charitable agencies that distribute food directly to Americans in need.”
“Everywhere our guests go this season, and check in at a Red Roof, they will have the opportunity to show their holiday spirit by giving to a worthy cause,” says Marina MacDonald, SVP, Sales and Marketing, Red Roof Inn. “Red Roof is happy to reward our guests’ generosity—it’s the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving.”

Gloriana Walks Away Breakthrough Artist of the Year
Labels: Gloriana
What were the odds of country group Gloriana beating pop sensation Lady GaGa for the fan-voted Breakthrough Artist of the Year prize at Sunday evening's American Music Awards?
"It was like the Browns playing the Colts, for sure," said Gloriana's Tom Gossin. "We didn't think we had a chance."
Well apparently the odds were pretty good since they walked away with the trophey. At one point during their speech they asked the audience to show hands if they had idea who they were.
"Our fans threw voting parties, and we had such an over-the-top response," Gossin said. "And I'm not going to lie, I voted a few times, too. When we were on the bus and got bored, we'd vote."
Congratulations guys for a well deserved win! Gloriana released a little video for their fans that made the award possible.

Shane Wyatt Ready To Release Second Single "Whole Lotta Love"
Labels: Shane Wyatt
Proud of his Oklahoma upbringing and excited to be following in the footsteps of fellow Okies who became country legends like Garth Brooks, Vince Gill and Toby Keith, multi-talented Oklahoma born and bred singer-songwriter Shane Wyatt is enjoying his status as The Last Cowboy, sharing concert and club stages with country music stars throughout the South and Midwest with the release of his popular indie debut.
The album’s second single “Whole Lotta Love,” a high spirited throwback to classic country music, received airplay this past spring and summer on over 200 stations across the U.S. , with its most powerful showings on outlets throughout the South and Midwest . The track also caught steam across the Pond, hitting the Top Ten on the European Country Association chart via airplay in Germany , Italy and England . His latest single, the ballad “She Could Do Better,” has quickly scored similar airplay stats.
While dividing his time in recent months between weekday visits and live in studio performances at radio stations across the map to a whirlwind of gigs across his adopted home region of the Upper Midwest, Wyatt—who was named one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists of 2008 by Music Connection Magazine--has also opened for an exciting roster of country icons: his hero Randy Travis (at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, where Buddy Holly did his last performance), The Bellamy Brothers and Eric Church.
In late June, the charismatic performer also kicked things off on the big stage at Country Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin , a several day event whose roster this year included Chuck Wicks, Joe Nichols, Kellie Pickler, Montgomery Gentry and George Strait.
Another testament to Wyatt’s growing popularity among country music peers and fans is his recent entry into a sponsorship with Farm Boy & Farm Girl brands, fresh clothing and accessories capturing the heartfelt pride of the farming lifestyle. The partnership is a perfect fit for many reasons, given Wyatt’s rural upbringing and down-home musical style.
Farm Boy & Farm Girl brands is an ongoing supporter of Wyatt’s radio tour promoting The Last Cowboy, which has included stops in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota. Farm Boy & Farm Girl brands is promoting Wyatt via its digital marketing, including its consumer website, Facebook and email blasts and is exploring cards for fans to receive a free music download from Wyatt. Additionally, Farm Boy & Farm Girl brands is providing clothing and accessories for listener giveaways and other special events.
Wyatt’s breakthroughs to this point should inspire a lot of other indie artists who wonder if simple persistence—backed of course by relentless, can’t be denied talent—is enough to take their careers to the next level. A huge fan of Aldean’s 2007 hit album Relentless, the singer boldly contacted its producer Michael Knox, who in turn hooked him up with Mike Noble, the studio coordinator for the Aldean project and a major player in Music City whose songs have been recorded by everyone from George Jones and Kenny Rogers to Brooks & Dunn and Restless Heart.
Beyond the Oklahoma pedigree, Wyatt shares a key musical influence with Garth Brooks—an appreciation for the late great Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Chris LeDoux, a former rodeo champion who recorded 36 albums (many self-released) and sold over six million units over the course of 30 years. He shot to national prominence when Brooks mentioned him in his song “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old”), and years later Brooks offered to donate part of his liver to LeDoux when the singer needed a transplant.
“The most exciting part of my career so far is that The Last Cowboy has received a lot of recognition just from some basic grass roots promotion,” Wyatt says. “I love it all, from introducing my fans to LeDoux songs they may never have heard before to touching people with my songs and hearing their personal stories about how they connect with them. When you’ve written a new song and see people out there singing along, there’s nothing like it. I love when they get the same feeling that I had the minute I started writing it.”
A couple months ago we had the priviledge to chat with Shane. You can click here to read the interview. For more information on how you can grab a copy of Shane's album The Last Cowboy visit www.shanewyatt.com Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

Fan Review: Billy Currington At Coyote Joe's
Labels: Billy Currington
Our friend James attended the Billy Currington show at Coyote Joe's and passed along a little write up and pictures from the show.
I attended the Billy Currington show at Coyote Joe's last night 11/21/09. The show opened with Everything followed by I Got A Feeling. Currington appeared in great spirits and the whole mood of the show was extremely positive and fun. Currington keeps things country but with an interesting soulful vibe very clear on the popular hit Don't as well as Must Be Doing Something Right which of course all the ladies loved
Show closed after an hour and 15 minutes with a cover of The Chair by George Strait followed by Superstitious and sending everyone home happy with Good Directions. The crowd ate it all up. Currington said this was the final stop on the tour and the band all had fun during the show. The keyboard player even engaged in some crowd surfing at one point. One of the largest crowds at Joe's all year was in attendance. Cant wait till next time
Thanks again James for the write up. Sounds like Billy put on a great show and that the fans all left very pleased! Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

John Rich Gets Assault and Harassment Charges Dropped
Labels: John Rich
A Nashville judge has dismissed assault and harassment charges against John Rich in connection with an altercation involving former Nashville Star contestant Jared Ashley. Following testimony today General Sessions Judge John Aaron Holt dismissed the criminal charges that were filed after Ashley claimed Rich "sucker punched" him in the jaw in March at the Big & Rich member's private club, the Spot, in downtown Nashville. Rich said Ashley entered the club without permission and refused to cooperate when security guards asked him to leave. During today's hearing, Rich acknowledged he pushed Ashley but denied that he punched him. He testified, "In one motion, I took his drink out of his hand and pushed him back out of my space." In dismissing the charges, the judge noted that the Spot is a private club and that there was no evidence that Ashley sustained any injuries.“This was a private club, there was no evidence of physical injuries, or pictures of bruising or cuts… If he hit (Ashley) in the jaw with that big ring I see he’s wearing, it would’ve cut him, although I don’t know if he was wearing it at that time.”
Today's hearing was in connection with the criminal charges, but Rich and Ashley's civil suits against each other are still pending.

Carrie Underwood Spills Secrets On Holiday Special
Labels: Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton.jpg)
Carrie Underwood is "excited" about her upcoming Christmas special, "Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special," which is set to air Mon., Dec. 7 at 8PM/ET on FOX-TV. The two-hour special features several special guests and Underwood acting in skits and performing traditional Christmas songs, as well as classic songs and songs from Underwood's new album Play On.
"I've seen the Mandrel Sisters before, but that wasn't something we gathered around to watch," Underwood said. "[The special] was a lot of fun to tape and I'm glad to see that format may be catching on again."
Among the guests confirmed for the special are:
Dolly Parton - Parton and Underwood sing Parton's classic hit "I Will Always Love You" and Parton sings her holiday hit "Hard Candy Christmas."
Brad Paisley - Paisley wasn't able to make the taping in Nashville in mid-October, so the producers arranged for him to do two portions via satellite with Underwood.
Also performing on the show are David Cook, Kristin Chenoweth, and Christina Applegate.
Underwood also mentioned that she does plan to record a full Christmas album. Previously, five tracks were released as a supplement disc to Carnival Ride. "I love classic Christmas songs and I love doing things very traditionally. I've got to finish the album."

Sneak Peak At Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D
Labels: Kenny Chesney
Having wrapped country music's biggest tour of 2009 in Indianapolis this September, Kenny Chesney takes his high-impact concert experience into another dimension with the April 2010 3-D movie slated for national release via Sony Pictures Entertainment's The Hot Ticket. Fans of the man who's sold in excess of a million tickets each of the past 8 summers - and who played a dozen major stadiums last year - can get their first taste of the up close and right there “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D” thanks to our friends at The Boot
Having wrapped country music's biggest tour of 2009 in Indianapolis this September, Kenny Chesney takes his high-impact concert experience into another dimension with the April 2010 3-D movie slated for national release via Sony Pictures Entertainment's The Hot Ticket. Fans of the man who's sold in excess of a million tickets each of the past 8 summers - and who played a dozen major stadiums last year - can get their first taste of the up close and right there “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D” at Noon Pacific Time Wednesday November 18th at Moviefone, AOL Music and The Boot.
“It's amazing to me how intense this footage is,” Chesney says of the film that is now being edited in several cities across the country. “It's me in a way I've never seen myself - and I can't wait to share it with my fans. I put all of myself into my shows, a lot of heart and sweat and stuff most people might not think is all that important, but I do… and always have. This film captures every little detail in a way that makes it even more important than I thought it was when we were working on it, and it makes my fans even more in my face than when I'm onstage, which is great! So I am completely thrilled that there's something we're able to give people a taste of the film with. Obviously, it's not 3-D, but it's pretty invested in what Joe Thomas, the director, is trying to help us capture. April is a long way away, and I know I don't want to wait that long to let people get a peak at what we're doing.”
With no major tour next year for the 4-time and record-holding Country Music Association and 4-consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D” will be the best way to see the man who makes summer official. Shot over 6 nights in 5 stadiums, the movie celebrates all the fun, moments, memories and friendship that going to a Chesney show is made of - and does so in format that only the Rolling Stones and U2 have so far embraced.
For the fans at Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Boston and Indianapolis' sold out stadiums shows, they can live those songs again - through the comprehensive coverage of 22 3-D camera rigs, a blimp and several ancillary cameras. To get a sense of what the fuss is all about, one need only hit any of the above mentioned sites - or www.KennyChesney.com to get their first peak of what will easily be the most hard-hitting country concert film ever.

At the crossroads of pop, rock and country there is Keith Urban. Last Sunday Keith sat down with CBS Sunday Morning, for one of the best interview I have ever seen Keith do. Keith opens up about his music, Sunday Rose, Nicole, and rehab.

Carrie Is NOT Moving In With Mike Fisher
Labels: Carrie Underwood.jpg)
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have been dating for a year now, last week reports were showing up that the two were planning on moving in together. They both seem to be in love and happier than most Hollywood couples out there, so it really wouldn't of surprised me.
Upon hearing the news, Carrie herself decided to clear things up. She took to her own website, and told her fans:
"I read something recently that a certain someone and I were moving in together. This is beyond not true...just another example of people making stuff up out of thin air!" She goes on to say that "neither one of us would ever do that. I would never live with my boyfriend...not my style."
Maybe Carrie and Mike are old-fashioned and want to wait until they’re engaged or even married to move in together. We think more celebrity couples should think this way! Whatever Carrie and Mike are doing right now is working for them, so it’s best that they don’t mess with a good thing! Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

FBI Raids Gibson Offices
Labels: Gibson Guitars
Federal agents from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and local police today seized wood, guitars, computers and boxes of files from Gibson Guitar's Massman Road manufacturing facility.
Sources say the Nashville-based guitar manufacturer is being investigated for violating the Lacey Act, a key piece of environmental law, for importing endangered species of rosewood from Madagascar.
Rosewood is widely used in the construction of guitars and sells for $5,000 per cubic meter, more than double the price of mahogany. The island nation off Africa's east coast is a key producer of the hardwood, the export of which has links to international criminal activity.
A statement from Gibson released late Tuesday afternoon says the company is "fully co-operating" with the investigation.
"Gibson Guitar is fully cooperating with agents of the United States Fish & Wildlife Service as it pertains to an issue with harvested wood. Gibson is a chain of custody certified buyer who purchases wood from legal suppliers who are to follow all standards. Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO [Henry Juszkiewicz] sits on the board of the Rainforest Alliance and takes the issue of certification very seriously. The company will continue to cooperate fully and assist our federal government with all inquiries and information," the company's statement said.
Madagascar has struggled financially since a January coup and new President Andry Rajoelina issued an executive order in September legalizing the export of rosewood and ebony. The move was decried by environmental groups and political leaders worldwide, as hardwood forests are key to Madagascar's unique ecology and serve as a habitat for a dwindling lemur population.
Sources tell NashvillePost.com Gibson was involved in a scheme that shipped the wood from Madagascar to Germany and then to the United States. Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

Nicole In Ladies Home Journal Talks Keith, Sunday Rose & More
Labels: Keith Urban
After years of shining in the Hollywood spotlight, Nicole Kidman has found true bliss (and a little peace and quiet) on her Nashville farm. The Academy Award winner and UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador sat down with Ladies’ Home Journal’s December/January issue to discuss marriage, movies and being a mom. Excerpts from the story, on newsstands November 24th
Looking back at her whirlwind life: “I was running from my life, in a way. My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.” She pauses, then says, “I think that we’re in the world to connect. Because that’s what you’re left with. You’re not left with your house or awards or money, you’re left with the people that you built relationships with.”
On her career taking a backseat: “There are certain limitations to my career because I’m based here. And that’s cool. Keith has enormous ambitions, which I support. His tours and albums are much bigger than what I’m doing right now.”
On hosting a weekly baby group: “This is my way of having 10 kids,” says Kidman, who confides that she would like to have another.
On being a private person: “I would never write a memoir. There are things that happen behind closed doors, and that’s where they belong. I’m not secretive. I’m protective.”
On refusing to sing in front of her husband: Most mornings Keith Urban plays the piano for her and Sunday. “I hum a little. When your husband’s a huge singer, the last thing you do is sing with him.”
On her outlook for the future: “Sunday’s third word was ‘wow,’ and I say that word a lot. I hope when I’m 80 I’ll still be saying it. I’ve been given extraordinary opportunities, with huge dreams fulfilled. I’m 42 and my eyes are still wide open.”
On being in love: “I love being in love. I believe in the power of love, the way it can heal. The more you keep choosing it—because there are times when you can choose to be angry at the person or to love him—the more it nourishes a family.”
Kix Brooks Says The Split of Brooks & Dunn Isn't Bittersweet
Labels: Brooks and Dunn
As Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn go through their final awards season and concerts as a musical duo Brooks & Dunn. Brooks says it isn't bittersweet at all. In fact, he says "it's hard for anything to be bitter when you've had 20 years" like they've had. Brooks says it's been so much more beyond anything the two of them ever dreamed of when the duo of Brooks and Dunn was created. Brooks says "that's what people forget," that they "weren't high school buddies and this was some dream" they had together. It was an artistic arrangement by a guy from a record label. But, Brooks says "next thing you know you're riding a bus, and next thing you know it's 20 years later and and you're going, 'I think we've done it all, Hoss."' Brooks says "it's just been a great ride" for him and Dunn. Now, Brooks says they're "going to see what else we can stir up for the rest of our lives."
Kenny Chesney Is So Proud Of Taylor
Labels: Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift
Even though Kenny Chesney walked away empty handed, at last week’s CMAs. That didn’t stop him from being excited for fellow-entertainer, Taylor Swift.
When Tim McGraw and Faith Hill announced Taylor’s name as the winner in the Entertainer of the Year category. Just as he did when Carrie Underwood won her Entertainer of the Year Award, Chesney was the first person to hug Taylor. Kenny took a few moments and whispered something to Taylor.
In the press room, Taylor was of course asked what Kenny had told her,
“He just said, ‘I’m so proud of you and I love you so much,’” she recalled. “We were texting earlier, and we were saying that same thing, like, ‘No matter what happens tonight, I love you so much.’ And it was just like I really, really love Kenny a lot. All the other people in the category with me have taken me out on tour as their opening act. Every one of them — Keith, Brad, George, Kenny — all of them. And so those are people that I’ve looked up to and just held up in my head as these heroes, and they’re always going to that for me.”Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»
Bucky Covington To Release Digital EP Tomorrow
Labels: Bucky Covington
Bucky Covington will release Live from Rockingham, a five-song digital EP, on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The EP, which will be available via various digital music retailers, was recorded at a recent hometown concert and features live versions of Covington’s Top 10 hits — “A Different World,” “It's Good To Be Us” and “I'll Walk” — his new single “Gotta Be Somebody” and “Mexicoma,” launched as a preview of his sophomore album I’m Alright, due out in spring of 2010.
Covington’s single “Gotta Be Somebody” is a countrified version of Nickelback’s No. 1 hit. He recorded a video for the song at the hometown show, which is also included on the EP.
Luke Bryan Talks Hits and Kids..Yes I Said Kids
Labels: Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan has earned a No. 1 hit as a writer, having co-penned Billy Currington's chart-topper "Good Directions." But Bryan may be on the verge of scoring his first No. 1 hit as an artist — and he's battling his co-writers for the top spot.
Bryan's current single “Do I” is at No. 3 on Billboard’s country singles chart and Lady Antebellum’s song “Need You Now” is at No. 2
Bryan co-wrote "Do I" with Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum, so the situation is a bit unique.
“When we wrote it we thought it was single, but I don’t think we ever thought our songs would be at No. 2 and No. 3,” Bryan said. “But it feels great. I don’t go into singles thinking, ‘Oh we’re going to get a No. 1,’ but to be right there is very exciting for me.”
Bryan said he had had the idea for “Do I” for a long time before he got the chance to write it with Haywood and Kelley, but he also said it was their help that truly brought the song alive.
“It was pretty amazing to watch it come together,” he said. “When the three of us started working on it, it took on a whole new meaning. It’s a lot of fun to have success with two good guys like Charles and Dave.”
But a No. 1 single isn’t the only thing Bryan has to be excited about these days. He and his wife Caroline are about ready to start trying for baby No. 2. Their son Thomas Boyer (Bo) is about 20 months old and the Bryans want to give him a sibling before too much longer.
“We want a big ol' family,” says the singer, “and big Christmases and big Thanksgivings.”

Got A Headache? Trace Adkins Can Cure It
Labels: Trace Adkins
For the second time in its 100 year history, BC Headache Powder is represented by a country music entertainer. In the mid 1970s it was Faron Young. In 2009, it's Trace Adkins, the country music superstar, who has been an esteemed member of The Grand Ole Opry since 2003, and was a finalist on the NBC reality show "The Celebrity Apprentice" in 2008. He also received the Academy of Country Music's 2008 Single of the Year Award for his chart-topping hit, "You're Gonna Miss This."
"I'm very particular about attaching my name to products or causes, unless it's something I use or believe in," said Adkins. "My relationship with BC Headache Powder is personal and runs deep. I still remember when my grandfather gave me my first BC. I even remember the product advertising jingle from the 70's. I am proud to be representing BC, especially on tour in front of thousands of fans."
As a spokesperson for the next two years, Adkins will record radio ads, be included in images at retail stores and on BC's website (www.bcpowder.com), perform songs at exclusive events, and conduct a BC Headache Powder sponsored concert tour in 2010 that will include more than 80 national concert stops. Currently, Trace is sponsored by BC Headache Powder for 38 tour stops on the "Shine All Night" Tour with Martina McBride.
"Regular, hardworking people will now share the spotlight with Trace Adkins to tell the story of how good and fast BC works on headaches and tough body pain," said Darren Singer, VP Marketing BC Powders. "Once we heard Trace's personal history with BC, which has spanned three generations, we had to make him another member of our storytelling team. He is a tremendous asset to us and a huge draw for people who work hard for what they have."Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

There are so many things happening so quickly in the rising star’s life right now, both personally and professionally, when asked how he stays grounded and keeps everything straight:
"We're very excited!” exclaims Justin. “The 1100 square feet house we were in was just gonna get too crowded. And, moving out in the country is gonna help me stay grounded. My back porch looks out over a pasture full of cows instead of another house. It makes me feel more at home.”

Chuck and Julianne Are Still "Good Friends"
Labels: Chuck Wicks, Julianne Hough
Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks may have shown a good front by attending the CMA Awards together on Wednesday, but one night later, Hough confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple has indeed parted ways.
"We're both just really, really busy with our careers, and we spend a lot of time apart from each other – so we're just taking a little break right now," Hough, told PEOPLE Thursday night as she walked the red carpet in Nashville for the premiere of Tim McGraw's film The Blind Side.
But she insists her relationship with Chuck Wicks,is still amicable.
"Honestly, Chuck and I are such good friends – we still hang out all the time, and we're still writing together," she says.
Did Taylor Win EOTY To Soon??? Stars Speak Out
Labels: Faith Hill, Jack Ingram, Randy Travis, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Wynonna
Taylor Swift became the youngest winner of country music's top award Wednesday night – but is the 19-year-old getting too many accolades too soon?
Not according to Faith Hill, who Swift has often cited as one of her longtime idols. "I think she worked her tail off the last couple [of years] and she deserves to win," Hill told PEOPLE Thursday of Swift's entertainer of the year award.
Added husband Tim McGraw, "I've been doing this a long time and she's got a better head on her shoulders than I do, so I don't know how anybody could complain about that."
But some have questioned Swift's rapid rise. Before Wednesday's CMAs, Wynonna Judd told USA Today that the teen's nomination for the prestigious award could be "too much of a good thing too soon." (Swift beat out country heavyweights Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and George Strait.)
Judd later apologized to Swift in a note on her Web site, calling her "a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had."
But fellow country veteran Randy Travis also wondered if the award wasn't premature. "As a writer, she is a phenomenal talent," Travis told PEOPLE. "When you look at the body of work that she has written at the age when she came into this business, it's remarkable. It really is. But do I think that entertainer of the year might have been a little early? In my opinion, yes, for whatever that's worth."
Swift, who was 14 when she signed her first publishing deal, addressed the question after her historic win, telling reporters, "I feel like it's been fast but it's also been a growth curve. I've watched the CMA Awards for as long as I can remember, and I got to come to my first one when I was 15. I know what it means to win a CMA Award. So I look at it from both ways."

Speaking of digital sales, Carrie sold 62,848 copies of the album online, making Play On country’s best-selling digital album debut of 2009.

Your Opinion On Who You Thought Looked The Best/Worst Last Night
Labels: CMA Awards 09
Award shows are so difficult to pick the best dressed because everyone always puts their best foot forward. At last nights 43rd Annual CMA Awards the red carpet was looking mighty good. But there were a couple that made you think "OH NO"....LeAnn Rimes had a beautiful gown, but went to much with the eye makeup, Jake Owen was looking good but that jacket not my favorite, and Randy Houser looked like he just finished watching TV and headed to the Sommet Center. Carrie Underwood, Whitney Duncan, Billy Currington, Tim McGraw, and Jennifer Nettles looked great. Who made it on your list for best/worst dressed?

Are Carrie And Mike Moving In Together?
Labels: Carrie Underwood
As one relationship comes to an end (Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough), another relationship is full speed ahead. The rumor's floating around the web is that Carrie Underwood and her hockey hunk Mike Fisher are moving in together.
A source tells OK! magazine, “Mike asked her to move in, and she said yes… She’s on the road a lot and can’t commit fully, but she did clear out space in his closet and stocked his kitchen with her favorites.”
And pals of the couple are not surprised if the big move leads to wedding bells: “They’re completely in love. They’ve talked marriage. Mike’s said it in front of Carrie’s family. They love him and think he’s great.”

Swift To Share CMA Spotlight With Hendersonville High School Students
Labels: Taylor Swift
At 15, Taylor Swift was wandering the halls of Hendersonville High School like so many other local teens. Four years later, she’ll perform at tomorrows CMA Awards, and find out whether she gets to bring home the coveted entertainer of the year award.
According to Jamie Jordan, who coaches the school’s dance team, producers for the show to be broadcast tomorrow night on ABC called to see if members of her dance team could be a part of Swift’s performance of her hit, “Fifteen.”
“They said they wanted to create the way she did that song in her concert,” Jordan said. During the song, Swift is surrounded at a piano by an audience.
Jordan said she told producers her dance team would love to be involved, and when they said they needed 325 teens total, Jordan suggested they call HHS principal Joni Worsham, who rounded up other students. The dance team coach said she was told around 140 students would be involved in a separate rehearsal from the other 185 students who will attend, but is not sure what their role will be.
Worsham said the school is treating the outing like a field trip and will take buses to the performance.
How come I never had field trips like that when I was in school??

New Music From Montgomery Gentry
Labels: Montgomery Gentry
The duo Montgomery Gentry is poised to continue their hitmaking ways with the release of their new single, “Oughta Be More Songs About That.”
The song, co-penned by Eddie Montgomery, recognizes the importance of hard work, forgiveness, and overall social responsibility. KKGO Los Angeles’ Sr.Manager/Country Programming Charlie Cook lauds, "This is exactly what we're hearing from our listeners. These topics are important to them... and Montgomery Gentry nails it!"
The brand-new single will be off of their forthcoming new CD, which marks the duo’s seventh studio album, due in early 2010. Montgomery Gentry rejoins Blake Chancey, who produced their 2008 album Back When I Knew It All, which yielded the #1 hits “Back When I Knew It All,” and “Roll With Me,” and Top 10 “One In Every Crowd,” as well as an 2008 ACM nod for Album of the Year.
“Man, we’ve been working hard to finish this CD and get new music out there and we’re real excited about ‘Songs,’” says Eddie Montgomery. “I love this one, it’s just a song about real American folks and their lives.”
“Oughta Be More Songs About That,” is now available at all radio outlets, with an impact date of 11/30. Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»
Kenny Chesney In 3D Hitting The Big Screen In April
Labels: Kenny Chesney
Just as Kenny Chesney, the 4-time and reigning Country Music Association and 4-consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, announced he would not stage a major tour next year comes the announcement he will provide an even more up-close, in-your-face, on-the-stage way to experience the intensity, the mayhem and yes, fun of his full-tilt stadium-sized show! Teaming with Sony Motion Pictures highly specialized The Hot Ticket Division, the man who's sold over a million concert tickets each of the past 8 summers is in the midst of editing “Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D,” putting him in the company of the Rolling Stones and U2.
“I'd seen U2's movie and was blown away,” Chesney says of the film, which hits theatres in April 2010. “It was like something I'd never seen - and I wondered what would happen if we tried to capture some of what was going on like that… How would it look, because this is more straight up… When we did, everyone who saw the footage agreed, and we started taking this project very seriously.
“Then when major movie studios were interested in working with us… a company with such specialized expertise as not just Sony Motion Pictures, which is crazy, but their Hot Ticket division which understands very specifically the challenges of a 3-D movie, well, we went for it.”
Shot over six nights in five cities - Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Boston and Indianapolis -- with 22 3-D camera rigs, this is Kenny Chesney closer than anyone's ever been. On the stage, in the halls, on the water and in the air, “Summer in 3-D” adds a dimension to the always high energy entertainer's concert connection with his fans that will leave people just as excited as being in a stadium with the music blaring, the fans cheering and the night still young.
“It's crazy how up close this puts you,” admits the man who's had 19 #1s and has been touring stadiums now for five straight years. “To me on that stage, I feel every single one of my fans - all the way to the very top of those stadiums. But this is like having everyone right there onstage with us, and it's a rush… I had no idea what we do could go to film quite like that. It was an amazing - and at times scary - experience to have cameras that close, in the air, on a blimp… cause they are everywhere. But to see what this film captures: all the energy, the thrill and an even better focus on some of the most rocking nights we've ever had, all I can say is… wow.”
With three CMA nominations - Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Vocal Even with Mac McAnally for the #1 “Down the Road” - Chesney performs “I'm Alive” with Dave Matthews on the CMA Awards live telecast Nov. 11 on ABC. The single is Top 10 and available on his Greatest Hits II album out now!

Jake Owen Fan Carrie Shares Her Coastal Carolina Fair Experience
Labels: Jake Owen
Jake Owen fans were out in full force Friday night at the Coastal Carolina Fair. Our friend Carrie attended the show, and sent us what she thought of Jake's performance, along with her experience at her very first Meet and Greet. Thanks again Carrie!
WOW is a word that easily describes Jake Owen's show Friday night at the Coastal Carolina Fair. I attended his show last year at the fair which was the thing that got me hooked onto his music to begin with, so I knew I was in for the night of my life after a long hard week at school. I got to the fair grounds at 6:30 and got a seat in the 6th row and started the wait in the cold weather.
It was well worth the wait when Jake ran on stage singing 8 Second Ride. By that time the stadium was as full as it could get! The crowd was double the size of last year. He followed that by upbeat song after upbeat song making it one big rockin' awesome Friday night party at the fair! I was really happy that he sung all of his fan favorites from his albums. I was impressed with how many times he jumped into the audience. The one time that surprised me the most was when he ran all the way to the top and played with the spot light. It is not everyday you see an artist do that!

Jake had so much energy! I didn't know where he manged to get it all in the freezing cold weather which didn't seem to bother him one bit. Compared to last years show this show was amazing!!! As a performer he has grown so much and his shows have gone from really good to crazy amazing and incredible! I felt so connected to him. Not many artist can make you feel that way! Five years down the road I see him being nominated for Entertainer of the Year if he continues to grow this quickly! If you have not seen him in concert you got to go see him!! Its worth the long wait and every penny.
What made the night extra special was that I won a fan club meet and greet. I am a huge country music fan and was estatic about my 1st meet and greet. By the time the meet and greet after the show I could not feel my hands from the cold. I was starstruck when Jake walked through the door backstage. I couldn't belive one of my favorite country artists was standing right in front of me and was about to take a picture with me. When I walked up to him I said "I can't belive I'm meeting you" and he responded "I can't belive I'm meeting you. I've never met you before." Jake was friendly and each and every way. When you see him on GAC doing interviews that is 100% the way he is in real life. I just love it!

Overall it was an incredible night! I strongly recommend seeing Jake live. His shows are amazing and won't dissapoint you!Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»

Chuck Wicks Saved The Day For A Sick Julianne Hough
Labels: Chuck Wicks, Julianne Hough
Chuck Wicks made his case as a good boyfriend Saturday night after his girlfriend Julianne Hough came down with the flu and couldn’t perform at the 22nd annual Pineapple Festival in downtown Jensen Beach.
In a surprise last-minute move, Wicks played in Hough’s place — and said he scored some brownie points with his better half — to cap off a breezy Saturday filled with rides, traditional festival food and drink, daredevil BMX trick shows, parades and music.
“It was touch-and-go all day,” said Ron Rose, Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce executive director. “A lot of people went out of their way to make it happen. I just thank God he (Wicks) was on his way to Homestead and turned around.”
Julianne Hough battled flu symptoms all day, and event organizers feared they might stare down an empty stage come 8 p.m. When we saw her Thursday night at the Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson, SC you could tell she was getting sick and even addressed the crowd that she had a "scratchy throat"
Just after 6 p.m., Julianne's Twitter page read:
“Hey everyone, whoever is going to the show tonight I want to apologize. I’m extremely sick and can’t make it. But you won’t be disappointed with who’s filling in.”
Wicks said, “I talked to her this morning and she sounded like she was on her death bed. She tried to hang in there as long as she could.”
Luckily, Chuck played a concert in Alabama on Friday night, and was on his way to Homestead. He and Hough planned to take a trip to the Keys following the festival, the last stop on Hough’s tour. So he jumped on Interstate 95 north to Jensen Beach to ensure the show would go on.
“I’m about the closest person you can get to Julianne,” Wicks said. “I probably know all of her jokes and can sing all of her songs.”
Organizers even printed out a “Get Well Soon” banner for Hough that fans signed. Thanks Lori for sending us this story. Klik disini untuk melanjutkan »»
Joe Nichols and Kellie Pickler On TV Tonight
Labels: Joe Nichols, Kellie Pickler
Joe Nichols takes his first trip to Iraq during a musical tour with the Stars for Stripes organization. His experience takes him into unfamiliar conditions with hot days and long nights, but Joe finds he is able to bring a piece of home to the American troops through his music, and feels the importance of being a voice that reminds the service men and women how much they are appreciated. Joe Nichols: My Military Diary airs tonight at 10pm ET on GAC.
Kellie Pickler put her country-girl sensibilities to use tonight when she pitched in to help build a house for the Terpenning family on the hit ABC show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Actually, she says demolishing the old house was her favorite part: "It was the only chance I've ever had to walk into a house with a sledge hammer and bust holes in walls. I busted a toilet and water went shooting everywhere. Thank the Lord that was the only thing that flew out."
